Associate General Counsel
Natalie Grosse is Associate General Counsel at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining the Office of General Counsel, Natalie was employed by Penn State Police & Public Safety, assisting with the University’s Clery Act compliance, and she served as an adjunct professor at Penn State Law where she taught Professional Responsibility.
Prior to joining Penn State, Natalie was an Associate General Counsel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington, DC, where she specialized in national security investigations for approximately eight years until her move to State College in late 2018. Prior to her FBI tenure, Natalie was an attorney for other components of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) beginning in early 2004. She served as Counsel to the Director in the Office on Violence Against Women during the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act; Acting Deputy Director and Counsel to the Director in the Executive Office for United States Attorneys where, amongst other duties, she was chair of DOJ’s multidisciplinary anti-gun violence committee; and a federal prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia United States Attorney’s Office where she adjudicated financial crimes through administrative, civil, and criminal enforcement.
Natalie received her B.S. in Criminology/Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2000, graduating summa cum laude with a double minor in Sociology and Psychology. She received her J.D. from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Law in 2003, where she was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Dispute Resolution.
